Disappointment for two movies; Anticipation high for two others
Well, since I'm going through a short period of gainful unemployment/vacation, I'm trying my best to catch up on some movies.
Saw two today. Both had high expectations, both were dull thuds.Me, You and Everybody We Know
- D-minus. Sucked. Yeah, pretty much sucked. I thought the part where the two girls...um, no, wait. Sorry. I was trying to be positive. It just sucked.Little Miss Sunshine
- B-minus. Some funny parts. Some compelling acting. Key word here: "some." I think the stories and character development lacked more than some. Overall, worth the $5.75 that me and four other elderly people paid for the 1:35 p.m. matinee. On an aside, if you've seen the movie, you can only imagine what folks in their 70's thought of it.
As for the two flicks I'm anxiously awaiting, they are The Departed
. And they come out soon.
And in honor of the Borat movie, I thought I'd post a link with Borat clips
on YouTube...you know, for a change.
Ok, that's it. Talk soon now, y'here.
(oh yeah, and Fergie? Yeah, um, kinda gross
. Maybe you can put a paper bag over that London Bridge.)
